This is the fall back on fashion that can replace most any other dress for basically any affair she may wish to attend. That little basic black party or evening dress came into vogue back in the nineteen twenties when Coco Chanel gave the dress recognition as the one piece of clothing every woman must have in their closet. It filled in for most any other style and color of dress when all else were dismissed because they were just not right for the occasion she was attending.

Today that little basic dress is more popular than ever, due to the styles that are popular today. Whether she accessorizes or not, the simple honesty of this dress is timeless. When "bling" is added to this dress however, it can be deemed appropriate attire for a ball or evening gala. Basic styling with simple lines and not too much frill is all that is needed to allow the lady wearing this dress entry into the finest ball, nightclub, or fine dining establishment.
